Everlasting Alloy — Power Evaluation
Final Score: 46 ± 6 · Confidence: Medium
- Intrinsic: 46 · Deck: 46 · Meta: provisional
- Primary role: Negation/Interaction
Why it scores here
Everlasting Alloy is a conditional Quick-Play that only works while you control Jinzo: it either makes your Machine monsters immune to opponent card effects for the turn, or negates an effect that targets a Machine you control. Its power is that interaction, which is narrow (Machine-only) and gated on a specific board state, so it earns a moderate score rather than a high one. It builds no board, gains no card advantage, and is a poor material body, so those axes stay low. High deck inclusion (20 decks, 13 of them Jinzo) confirms it is a practical in-archetype pick, but that is frequency, not strength, and the 1800-level ATK and other stats earn nothing.
Axis scores
| Axis | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Accessibility | 50 | Spell card in 20 recent decks, mostly Jinzo, but no searcher or combo evidence to show it is reliably reached (verified deck count; no combo data). |
| Combo & Conversion | 15 | Text only; it does not add bodies or a board on its own, and no combo boards were supplied (verified text, no combo evidence). |
| Resource Economy | 25 | No draw, search, or refuel in the text, and it is a one-for-one spell used for protection (verified text). |
| Effect & Interaction | 55 | Negates targeting effects aimed at Machine monsters you control, but only with Jinzo on the field and only against Machine-targeting effects (verified text; inferred scope). |
| Material Utility | 5 | A Spell has no material value and cannot be used as a Link, Synchro, or Xyz material (verified card type). |
| Resilience & Flexibility | 40 | Quick-Play activation gives some flexibility, and the indestructibility mode lasts the turn, but both need Jinzo control (verified text; inferred spot-dependence). |
| Deck-Building Efficiency | 55 | Average 1.85 copies, with 6 decks running 3, and it sits in the Jinzo shell where its partners are already present (observed deck stats; inferred slot cost). |
Calculation
Weight profile: Primary role only (Negation/Interaction); no secondary role blend. Intrinsic ≈ 46, Deck ≈ 46, Meta = provisional. Modifiers: Jinzo-control requirement (-2). Final formula: 0.40*Intrinsic + 0.60*Deck
Strengths
- Protects Machine monsters from opponent card effects for a turn while Jinzo is in play
- Negates targeting effects aimed at your Machine monsters, a narrow but real interaction
- Quick-Play timing, so it can respond during the opponent's turn
- Practical in its archetype: 20 recent decks run it, most of them Jinzo
Weaknesses
- Only works while you control Jinzo
- Only interacts with Machine-type monsters and Machine-targeting effects
- No card advantage, search, or board presence
- Poor as material and does nothing to build a board on its own
Counters / choke points
- Non-targeting effects, which the negation clause does not cover
- Removing or banishing Jinzo before activation
- Opponent effects that do not target Machine monsters
Best use
Negation/Interaction side spell for Jinzo-based decks. Decks: Jinzo. Suggested copies: 2.
Evidence & gaps
- Verified: Quick-Play Spell with two Jinzo-conditional effects: indestructibility for Machine monsters and negation of Machine-targeting effects (card text); Archetype listed as Jinzo; text requires controlling Jinzo (card text); Appears in 20 recent decks, 13 Jinzo, average 1.85 copies (deck stats)
- Observed: Top partners Jinzo - Jector and Cyber Energy Shock at 95% co-occurrence (deck stats); Distinct archetypes 7, but mostly Jinzo (deck stats)
- Inferred: Practical in-archetype role as a Jinzo-protection and negation spell (text plus deck inclusion); Limited use outside Jinzo-based decks (text requires Jinzo control)
- Data gaps: no combos supplied, so combo conversion is text-only inference no guides supplied no usage statistics (StatisticsCard), so archetype inclusion is inferred from the deck sample only no banlist token; assumed 3 copies (unlimited)
